Chain to required length even number of stitches plus 3 extra
double crochet into 3rd chain
double crochet to end
3 chain and turn
Row 2 ( forms the pattern!)

*2 front post double crochet( FPDC)
Wool forward put hook through front of post of the next double crochet(,not top of stitch) wool over hook and pull though (3 stitches on hook)wool forward pull through 2 wool forward pull through 2.
2 double crochet*
repeat from * to end of row
3 chain and turn

follow pattern set in row 2 only, doing a double crochet on top of stitch that is at the back and a front post double crochet in the front post stitch (see how there is a sticky-outy type stitch? That tells you it's a dc into the post. )
Thats all there is... It's making little squares It's all you'll ever
do is those three chain stitches at the start of every row and then double crochet either into the tops or through the posts. If you forget where you are up to look at the next stitch....
Is it straight up or a bit stuck out. Straight up...into the top. Stuck out...into the post.....
